Bloggy Shout Out Love

I love it when I find new blogs or I have new followers. New blogs (or discovering new blogs) = new ideas and new friends!

My first bloggy shout out is Stephanie from Sparkling in Third Grade. She's been a blog stalker reader for awhile and decided to jump into blogging. And guess what? She's having a giveaway!

My next bloggy shout out is for a fellow Oregonian. Whoop whooop!  She's Hope from Teaching With Hope.

I absolutely love the art she did lately. Oh and she's having a giveaway too!

Those are my two new blogs to share with you. Short post since I'm working on auction stuff, but wanted to share the bloggy love and hope you will too!

Friday Freebie and a New Blog

After the positive responses I got, I decided to go ahead and make the new blog!

I'm so excited about it and can't wait until there are more posts :) If you want to be a contributor, please let me know! E-mail me at ttlusty07@yahoo.com so I can get you on the author list! Anyone can contribute and as little or as much as they want, with whatever their favorite pins or pinterest inspired crafts they want!

Click to go to the new blog and follow!

On to the freebie! It was inspired by a pin I saw. Ok I didn't know if I should post here or at EP (that's Endless Pinabilities for short!), but for this freebie, I'll post here.

I made a much shorter one and only copied one of the phrases from the poster and threw in my own.

I liked that but then wanted something else, so made another color scheme.

Graphics: Mycutegraphics

I also made the same two with spaces in between so you could cut and make bookmarks or give to a kid if they need a little something extra that day.

If you want a different color scheme, let me know and I can make some!  Click either picture to go get them on Google Docs.

I Have a Question...

I need opinions on something that I've been thinking about for awhile. Ok, so I have this idea for a new blog. But a few things keep holding me back. The main one, would anyone join? Would it be worth the effort?

So the idea would be a blog for teachers, devoted to the pins found and the pins made on Pinterest. And maybe not necessarily having to do strictly with school stuff, though that would probably be the main topic. And if I start it in the summer, it could be summer stuff and then with seasons/themes, that would be the focus. So the contributors would post their favorite pins or pins they just made.

I really think this could be a fun thing and a great idea and seem to be kind of popular with linky parties. I'm just worried that no one will join.

Thoughts? Ideas? Opinions? I'm open to it all!

I even thought of a name for the blog... but want to know, what do you think? If you think it's a silly idea, be honest and tell me, I can take it. I hope, lol.

More Blogs, Clip Art, a New Unit, and a Question

It's a bit of a random post today!
First, I have some more blogs for you to check out!

Teresa of Confessions of a Teaching Junkie is first. I stumbled on her blog and I so love her Pinterest video. Got to find me some of those dots!

Next is Mr. B from Mr. B's Beach Brains. He just found out he'll be teaching in a teched out classroom. I'm interested in knowing what gadgets he has and what he'll come up with!

Elisabeth from Tales of an Elementary Teacher is next on my list. She's got some great ideas and I love the pics she's shared!

So those are my newest finds. I'm always on the hunt!

Speaking of hunt, I was looking for a critter for my newest idea on a pack and couldn't find anything that suited my needs. So I decided to try my hand at making clip art. Now I'm no Michelle or KPM Doodles, that's for sure, but I was impressed with myself!

This was my first little guy. I needed a firefly and free handed this :)

A pirate scroll/map...I have pirate stuff in mind in the future.

I have no plans for this little dude yet but I thought he was kind of cute lol.
Grab them if you want :) When I have more time I'll sit down and draw better things. I think I want to make cartoon people next!

The firefly in question is part of this new unit with parts of speech:
Nouns, verbs, and adjectives

I'm getting impressed with myself with this cover art and preview stuff too. Confidence for sure with how far I've come!

I'm giving this away to the first 3 who comment with their e-mails. It's also at my TN store.

Lately I've been trying to figure out what people like the most at my store, so I can focus on more of those types of products, but they're kind of scattered.

Ok I'm super stoked that I figured out how to put this form in! Some of you are totally pros at it and are probably giggling at me, but that's ok. Better late than never in joining in this fun!

Sun, Saturday, Stepping Stones and Some New Blogs

My mind is going a mile a minute about what to write lol. Ok, I was super excited when I opened my TN newsletter in my e-mail and saw one of my products was a featured product! So cool!

My friends had a baby a few days ago. Welcome to the world Brycen! I think he'll be a linebacker with his broad shoulders. 9lbs, 11 oz!

It's sunny today, yay! I had fun with my friends last night but had to be up early today to go help out at my friend's work to make stepping stones.  Our 3 classes were FULL! Definitely the most popular class.  We have tons of stuff they can put on their stones.

Gems and shapes
Broken tile/plates

Look at them all! Kids did great!

I helped make this for Brycen.

stepping stones

That's my stepping stone. I love how simple and elegant it looks.

Time for some new blogs! I'll probably just do a couple and share some tomorrow :O)

First is Brittany at Sweet Seconds. Love the name and how yummy her blog looks. She's got some great stuff!

Next is Mrs. M from  The Daily Cupcake...a Kindergarten Blog. I somehow found and her and I LOVE her leaving spaces poster. I pinned it and it blew out of the water with repins!

And the last one for today, continuing on with the food theme, lol, is  Debra from The Paisley Apple. I do like paisley so I love her blog decor :) I love the Dr. Seuss stuff she did and she posted pics!

In honor of TN's remodel, I'm doing a TN giveaway. I love that we can do giveaways on TN now! 3 lucky people can win. My giveaway ends tomorrow!

New Blogs in Town Part 2

I meant to post this earlier today but I forgot that my town was having their Easter egg hunt today and so I rushed off to that. It was sunny and the kids had fun! We only have two big events in town and this was one! Lol :) I saw lots of my students too and they like seeing me out in the community, not just in the classroom.

Ok, so here are some more lovely blogs I've found!

Ms. Jessica at A Turn to Learn has some wonderful ideas. Her blog is so pretty and pink!

Marie at The Hands-On Teacher she has great ideas, shared some great websites, and has some cute freebies :)

Heather at Krazy About Kindy has just remodeled her blog and I think it's super cute! I also love what she's posted, like her Getting To Know You Glyph :)

Mr. Jones at First Upon a Time. Yay,  a male teacher blogger! :) He's got some wonderful ideas and has shared great pics! I love what he'd doing in his money unit!

The next blogger is Mr. Jones' friend Laura at Over the 1st Grade Rainbow. She just finished her first unit and it looks great! I also love her ideas that she's shared so far :)

And my final bloggy find is Nancy at First Grade Wow. Wow is right! I'm glad she posts pictures because I've been pinning some of her creations that are fabulous!  I'm so happy I stumbled onto your blog :)

New Blogs and a Behavior Incentive

Ok, I saw this awesome behavior incentive on Pinterest today! I'm excited about it because it is something that I could totally do as a sub!

I am excited about this. If the whole class is doing great, a piece gets added, but if they are off task, a part comes off. As a sub, I could say that if he gets completed, then they have 15 minutes of free time at the end of the day or something like that. Oh I am excited lol :)

Now for some new blogs that I've discovered and love :)

Teachery Tidbits is a cute blog :) Natalie has some cute units and ideas. And when she gets 100 followers, she'll have a giveaway with a Target giftcard!!! We all love Target right? Click her button to get to her blog :)

Another cute blog is Awesome in First! Annie and Melissa trying to get to 50 followers and will be giving away a $20 gift card to TpT (another favorite, right?) They are super close and could use some more followers. They have some super cute freebies too! Click their button to go to their blog :)

Tomorrow is my friend's baby shower and I can't wait! I made her a cute baby card, I made her a cute subway art for the baby's room, and got the baby some clothes. I also got a pair of sunglasses. That is one of my baby shower trademarks I guess you could say. And it's funny because then people expect me to get their baby a pair, so I can't disappoint! Lol :) I'll post pics of the things I made tomorrow :) Have a great weekend everyone!
