How clever!
I teach my kids to stretch out their words using their hands. I begin instruction with a hair tie (instead of rubber bands, only because they tend to be a little less painful if they snap) and then move on to just use our hands. Again, the visual of having it hanging for the kids is great!
Thanks for sharing these great ideas!
Hope you feel better soon! I am also home today, but my little one is sick. Hoping to catch up on some blogs that I missed reading last weekend when I was soooo tired!

❤Mrs. McKown
Little Literacy LearnersAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12702817291174604532noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-597084383031304990.post-45635093157932488932012-02-13T07:46:24.113-08:002012-02-13T07:46:24.113-08:00That is what I love about the blogging world, the ...That is what I love about the blogging world, the sharing of great ideas :)Journey of a Substitute Teacher (Ms. T)https://www.blogger.com/profile/14130444612954523341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-597084383031304990.post-72481770862759765742012-02-13T07:29:08.918-08:002012-02-13T07:29:08.918-08:00LOVE the rubber band idea!
